"Packet of Woodbines" I always thought was "packet of pork pies" !!!

And

"A gallon of Magners" I thought was strangly enough "A gallon of maggots"!!!

Bizarrely...i thought exactly the same for both lines, and have done for years...until now! Cheers!

I believe that some fans of other teams who sing the Greasy Chip Butty Song do indeed use those lines. I can't remember why it's maggots...something to do with fishing I think? They say Magnet at Sheff Utd, i.e. John Smith Magnet.

This song has been sung at Sheffield United since it was released by John Denver in the seventies...........it has always been " a gallon of Magnet" and has never been maggots or Magners............the reference is to Magnet Ale that was brewed in the city centre and widely available in most city pubs
