"It was just two world class players going for a 50/50 ball."

John King's description of a crunching tackle on Ossie Ardiles in the FA Cup Third Round tie at White Hart Lane: 10th January 1979.

Top interview. It must be a real buzz at that age to have people singing your name.

Great news that he is happy here.

Credit to George and Lee for bringing him on so well.

Great interview, Duncan always comes across as very grounded, great to hear how much he is enjoying playing for Alty.

'I love it here so much', he said. 'The fans are the best thing about playing at this club. I get such a buzz'”.

Alty fans are rare, too rare.  Good to know how much we are appreciated.

Cheers Duncan...

The lad seems a level headed sort who will do what is best for him whenever and wherever  the time is right.

I think his uni course is top of his priorities just now and well done to him - bet him Mom and Dad are well proud of him. (and his Big brothers), in a big brother begrudgingly way  :D ;D

Well done Dunc. Top Lad.

Article shows me why I'm not too worried about interest from other clubs: his Uni course and his background with a dad who knows football more than most.

Excellent article - I too feel that Duncan's studies will be the important thing in deciding his immediate future, as will his family, but it is good to read of his positive feelings for our club.

I think another great aspect to this is that it will improve the youth program if players such as Duncan/Adam/Sam are featuring in the team.

George already does a fantastic job with the youth, however if he can offfer the potential of first team football, it might tempt a few others to join the set up

I got news for you Duncan, we love watching you even more than you enjoy playing for us!!!!!

Stay till after University studies are complete, Duncan. I love the buzz it creates when you get hold of the ball and start one of your runs, especially when opposing defenders s**t themselves!! By the same account take it easy and get plenty of rest between games so you do not cause injuries; Lee seems to be keeping a close eye on your development, he is important to your future.

Keep up the good work mate, if you read these threads - hope you do!
