No. 6 is the team photo from the 1994/95 season (the Wigan/Spurs season).

No.5 is from 1995/96.

Darren,

Photograph No. 4

This is from the first half of the 1983/84 season (Tony Sanders stepped down as Alty manager in January 1984).

*** I'd be delighted to take this one off your hands.

Please send me a private message and we'll sort out the deal!

Photograph No.6

This is the 1994/95 team.

There are at least two very esoteric Alty squad members on that particular image!

Regarding No 5.....did we not have the same kit 94/95 and 95/96,but had different sponsors? I'm sure 94/95 was Maunders and 95/96 is Holts, that is on the picture.

Also think no 6 is from 93/94

No. 6 is definitely from 94/95. We had that "Activity" home kit until December 1994 and then changed it from the Wigan game onwards.

Nasha,

ALTY 1981 is definitely correct - Photograph No. 6 is from the 1994/95 season.

I'll give you Chris Stockell!

I was also thinking of the characters who are:

(i) front row - far left:

(ii) middle row - far right (between Dave Cockram and John Claeys).

Right, picture no 5 (the one with Holts on the front). This was the 1995-96 season. After John Maunders pulled out completely at the end of the 94/95 season. Kingy sorted it. IIRC the club had a competition where local businesses were invited to pay £100 to go into a draw to be the main shirt sponsors which HOLTS obviously won.The picture isn't the clearest but from what I can make out.

Back row l-r Steve O'Neill, Dave Cockram, Neil Whalley, Paul Collings, Grant Leitch?, Darren Oliver ?, ?

Middle row l-r Bernard Taylor, a female physio, GH, ?, Darren Heesom, Ricky Harris, Phil Bolland, Andy Green, Sahun Constable, Kingy, Mandy Johnston, Les Attwood.

Front row l-r Lee Anderson, Steve Cross, Paul France, B German, Chris Sharratt, Stuart Terry, ?

Picture no 6 is the start of the 94/95 season. We did wear the activity kit until the Wigan game when we sqitched to ENS (the acticivty away kit was dark blue)

Back row l-r Andy Reid, Collings, Chris Stockell, France.

Middle row l-r Attwood, GH, Heesom, Constable, Ben Hatton, Ricky Harris, Green, Butler, Cockram Chris Pickering (I remember someone saying he was good - he wasn't!, John Claeys, Kingy.

Front row l-r Sale based Alty youth product Paul Cox, O'Neill, Mick Carmody, Mandy, Cross, Sharratt, Terry

Until I saw picture number 4, I'd all but forgotten we had Leo Skeete on our books ! Unfortunately dogged by injury when he got to us, but a class act in his Mossley years.

Having looked through a programme from the 86-87 season last night the trainer is listed as Peter Goodwin, who I presume is the unidentified ginger haired coach.
