I does make you appreciate a chairman who keeps a careful eye on the balance sheet but can see beyond it.

I don't see how anyone can think that a football club can have any sort of success without the support of the fans. His approach can only disenchant the fans and sponsors don't tend to subscribe to the 'no bad publicity' theory.

I hope for Chester's sake the current owner can resist selling to this idiot.

Perhaps a York fan will pick up on this and tell us what a complete barnpot Batchelor was during involvement with their club. If he gets his hands on Chester it will be a source of great amusement for everyone who isn't a Chester City fan. It's sad to say but they are better off with the bagman. I'm so glad we don't have to suffer like this.
