Great to see the team coming back from a poor start...
Very important, seeing as though everyone around us won.

Real determination shown today and for once the substitutions were strong ones. When Oxford made their first half substitution a couple of their defenders already looked out of breath. Lo and behold the more we ran at the them the bigger the gaps became and the goals eventually followed. For all their pre-kick off dance routines and post-match cool downs Altrincham were the fitter team.

Considering we played the first hour with ten men, we did OK.
Our first goal was brilliant as well, starting with a touch of skill from Stu, then passed all the way to their goalline and then in.

The substitutions were strong ones because the team we finished with should've been the team that started!

So you're saying we shouldn't have started Duncan Watmore then? Ooh you'd be Peaked to death if they still existed   ;)

You know perfectly well what he means Phil. I'll run Mills back to Chester free of charge tomorrow if asked.

Well he clearly said that we finished with the team we should have started with didn't he?

Sorry, is a little bit of mischievous banter not permitted any more?

Why? He wasn't woeful today. Not a lot stuck for him and a lot of the time (especially second half before he got subbed) he lacked support from the midfield. Which was, incidentally, non-existant in the first half.

No ! The irony thread has been identified elsewhere among this evening's postings. We can't have two running, it gets out of hand !

I guess there's been a fair bit of Tunnel Teasing over the years at Alty, perhaps not in recent times though.   :)
