Quote from Lancaster's chairman on their 'new financial position' (BBC site):-

"We just pay the players' basic petrol expenses to get to the games, so we have gone from a club with (weekly) wages of £5,000 to £500."

In other words their budget at the start of this year was more or less the same as ours. This just underlines what a great job all at the club have done to get us to withoin touching distance of 2 successive seasons of Conference safety (I'm counting last year now given the AFC Wimbledon decision). It also suggests that relegation would see us an average spending club in the Conf North - so lets not let that happen eh??
