I read somewhere that he played in Man Utd's first team a few times.
Does anyone remember this and were they important games?
According to 'The Insider's Guide to Manchester United' He made 1 full, appearance and 1 appearance as subsitite.
His United debut was away at Barnsley in the FA Cup on 25 Feb 1998 and his final appearance was against Aston Villa (Away) in the League cup on 13 October 1999
His record on loan at Sheffield United is stated to be 12 appearances and 1 goal. The record also states that he went on to Port Vale where his record was 18 appearances and 2 goals between 2000-01
He is described thus 'The versatile Michael Twiss was yet another outstanding local prospect who couldn't force his way into the United reckoning despite spending six years on the club's book. I suppose the fact that he could play anywhere might have been his principal problem, as being moved from pillar to post is not ideal for a youngster. In his middle twenties Michael was playing non league football, which rather puzzled me. Even if he didn't make it at Old Trafford, I would have expected more than that from him.'
And as for the dog references ............. I think you're all
barking mad and should have better things to do
