In their four home games so far their record reads 3-1-0 15-7.
That suggests that they're great at attacking, but less competent at defending. We'll need to be sharp, and prepared to to put pressure on their defence.
Same team as last night (provided nobody is unfit). There will be goals. If we can match the 2-2 that Wealdstone achieved, that'll do nicely for me.
-
I agree.
Over half of our goals this season have been scored in the two games at home against the bottom two teams in the league and we haven't kept a clean sheet against either of them.
The next couple of matches will give us a clearer idea of where we are this year. Let's hope we can get something at the weekend and then this builds the confidence of the lads even more so we can get any sort of win against Grimsby who will no doubt bring quite a few (petrol permitting!)
If we can do that, then even MY bullishness will be rising! 😉
I believe we can do it.
Come on you Supers!!!!
-
We’ve have had an excellent start to the campaign. The lads can go there with confidence, on our day we can beat anybody in this league.
Obviously the defence will need to be on point with their attacking prowess but it’s doable, respect them but do not fear them
Would be very happy with a point.
Onwards & Upwards.

Desmond
Can't see the Bishop 😉
More likely to be that Spanish gent, Juan Hall.

Maybe start Hancock up top , to keep hold of the ball and allow our players to get up the pitch.
Kossy a tad deeper, just to be closer to Pringle. Kossy can then help win it back and carry it forward.
They will not like our counter attacks. Hopefully get our full backs bombing on.
-
I'd probably persist with Dinanga for now, although it does still seem strange not to see Josh in the starting XI.
-
Interesting the disallowed goal once again showed Marcus in the right place. His hold up play is as good as Hancock top line, Hancock is better suited to hitting the penalty spot (something we lack against AGAINST Wealdstone)
-
Dinanga has been more than decent last 2 games. Holds it up, lays it off, wins headers and never stops moving.
Not the finished article but hopefully a understanding will delvope with others.
Long way from being rested imho

Booked on the 8am train from town. Another big away trip.
Give me an London away day over Barwell and Matlock any day.
Credit to Phil that I'm not travelling expected a defeat going to play top of the league.
-
I was hoping to make the short trip to Dagenham for this one, but I'm going to a wedding on Saturday, so won't be able to go. Fingers crossed for another big performance, though.
-
Assuming all available, then nearly the same starting 11 but Furman in for Pringle.
D&G 1-1Alty (Dinanga)
-
Desmond all over it.
-
Good luck today boys!
You can definitely get something.
Interested to hear how Furman does.
Good to see Shaun Densmore back in the thick of it and on the bench today!

Absolutely. Radio Robins was excellent. Really entertaining game to listen to.
And the result made it even better.

That is an absolutely fantastic result and to get 9/9 in the space of 7 days (including two fancied promotion contenders) is quite the achievement. Two home games now and Tuesday a real biggie, can we keep it going…

Great vid by full time robins on you tube.

Stunning result: well done all!

I thought he was quite magnanimous, considering that he must feel at least as bad as we did after the late defeat at Wealdstone.
My socks are still wet six hours after the game, but I am very glad I went. A draw may possibly have been a fairer result against a good team who were not top of the table for nothing, but we can be proud of this team who never know when they are beaten, and compete until the very end of the game.

"Ceefax " has the first goal down as an o.g. Looked a pretty clear Dinanga goal from the video.
I remember at Victoria Road a few years back when they'd won the Conference, and before the game, Ecky said "I'd have sung 'championes' by now". Sounds like it's still a bit quiet there on the video, despite them again being top.
-
Its not very often a home manager gives credit to an away team! Maybe Torquay's manager should try it? SBL

I thought the same, but the BT Sport highlights show it was a clear og.

PP interview up on the main site.
It was rainy.

Yes, I see it now, but only after watching the Full Time Robins clip about a hundred times and rereading the description of the goal carefully! I'm convinced Dinanga would have scored though if the defender hadn't got a touch. I was a bit worried about some of his passing against Halifax, but he's starting to look the business now.
P.S. I've just watched the Parkinson interview and interestingly he credits Dinanga. And then there's the report on the official site, which has Dinanga getting a touch which was deflected in. My own impression was that the first defender got a touch on it to take it straight in. the way Dinanga was shaping it looked like he would play it towards goal if he got something on it. i suppose you could make a case for Senior if it was his cross that was deflected in...
Still, I must admit it's a great problem to have, wondering how exactly we scored the first goal in a 3-2 win at the NL leaders.

Highlights.
-
Looked like a tidy finish but actually hits the defender away from Marcus.
Anyway, Marcus was in there causing issues.
We now have an issue with No.10. Kosylo is not the man for that spot, as we lack someone following behind the main striker, the sort of position Mooney was in for the goal.
Hancock has to start tonight
