The Next Five Fixtures
« on: November 13, 2014, 02:25:12 PM »

The next five fixtures we've got are horrible.

H   GRIMSBY TOWN
A   Wrexham
H   KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS
A      Woking
A   Forest Green Rovers

It would hardly be a surprise to see us losing all five of them, especially the way we are currently playing (and our confidence levels).

However, even if we were playing well getting five or six points from these fixtures would be a decent return.

What then do we need to get from the next five games for people to remain confident in Sinnott's ability to keep us up?

We seem to be able to lose to bad teams just as easily as to good teams.
Winning the home games would be a good return but Wrexham haven't won in the league since October, so there may be a chance there.

We will get nothing at Wrexham, every club must relish playing us, we are everyones tonic.

Alfreton lost every game until they played us
Nuneaton hadn't won or even scored on open play
Welling hadn't won away since about 1983, win 0-4
Blyth hadn't won at home since the opening day
Telford, complete sh*t as bad as anything I saw last year or this

Why would wrexham be any different

I personally can't wait until we play altrincham

Or worse, just enough of a return to maintain the status quo.

And bombing out of the trophy to someone like Mossley

Despite yesterday's win, the situation with the manager's team selection and the weaknesses in certain areas of the squad remain an issue IMO. If you think otherwise, so be it.

I think this season so far in the league has been a good barometer of whether your glass is half empty or half full. Do you get the pleasure from good results against supposedly better sides, or is it more painful when we slip up against the weaker teams?
