The trophy semi final in 85-86 was my last visit to york street.  I am in no hurry to go back

A pedant writes...

no wonder you hate the place if you went there instead of watching our 2 legged semi final win over Enfield that season.

And only a year after being knocked out in the semi there as well. Glutton for punishment.

Masochism in the extreme!  I should know better - but I can still see in my minds eye that corner coming over, Mick Hardman jumping for it, it parting his hair but no other contact, and that tossed heading it in.  And all the euphoria of our equaliser with 10 men draining from my body - as the Neanderthals continued to throw their golf balls and nails at us.

I went to the final, stood by the steps as they came down from collecting their medals and gave Christ Cook and Kevin Blackwell a piece of my mind.  The day of the Bradford fire!
