I thought we'd be his first and last NL club. Very surprised by that move.

On loan from Sheff U until the end of the season apparently. Going part time to concentrate on his media career. He's just keeping his fitness levels up until he signs for us in the Conference Prem next season  8)

I don't think pros realise how good the standard is at semi pro level! If he doesn't sign for us in next two years I predict it will be too late and he will be a passenger on the pitch!Look at Craney for example, still has a football mind but never had the legs on moult last sat!

The right move for him from a personal perspective as I understand it shame the time was not right and wish him all the best at trying to help them stay up

depends on the individual for legs going . craney is only 31 and looks like his have gone but ryan giggs is nearly 40 and still has the legs to a degree. If things go well for danny at  chester he will probably either stay there or join us next season.

Craney and DH arent on the same planet fitness wise.

I think we'll see him in an Alty shirt next season. You have to remember that he has a family to think of and a contract at Sheff Utd. This is a great move career wise if he wants to do more in the media. He was on talksport the other night on my way home from work, he was very good. That could secure his future.

Besides Chester need him more than we do.

I can't wait to see an Alty fan wearing the shirt. How good would that be! Good luck to him at Chester in the meantime.

There's an article written by him in today's issue of the Non League Paper.

He references his brother (and former Alty player) Paul and also mentions how he has followed Alty's fortunes for years.

A couple of appearances as a used substitute during the 1986/87 season.

I believe that his sole appearance in the Robins' starting XI occurred in a 2-0 GM Vauxhall Conference victory over Runcorn at Moss Lane on Tuesday, 29th September 1987, which was Tommy Docherty's first match as Alty's manager.
