Extremely faint rumours afoot that Brighton were having him watched
By all accounts he's acquitted himself well since his return from injury (which is more than can be said for the rest of his teammates)
That that it's all about the money, BUT... I would be curious to know how much he's worth in the current market - my estimates would be £6m-£8m?
-
It depends how well he does between now and January , I would go along with your valuation .If big Sam comes back to management he may end up wherever he goes.Surely if Sunderland were to go down he wouldn't be there next season.
-
If he does leave then imo he could do worse than join Defoe again at Bournemouth.
Eddie Howe is a good manager who would get the best out of Duncan.
Great to see him back after a nasty injury..
-
This could be exactly what we need, we dont get appearance money any more as Dunc's not in the PL, so the sooner he is sold the better it is for Alty as we get a % sell on.
January sale would be ideal, then go fulltime next season in CN :D ;D
Is that ambitious enough for you pete?

On a serious note we could be due some serious wonga if he moves on.
First and foremost I'm glad he's managed to turn a lot of their fans who were quite critical in the Prem.

A statue of the great George Heslop on Moss Lane, perhaps...?

Sounds like Dunc has been dropped or rested tonight, on the bench

They need to get him on pronto. Bolton 1-0 up, and defeat will put Sunderland rock bottom.

Improve the view from the main stand for regular supporters :P ;)

We could loan the money to the Cheshire Sex Hotel

Turned it round without him and went 2-1 up. Brought him on at 2-2.....now losing 2-3.
-
Brought Duncan on 61 minutes took him off in 78 minute hope he's ok
He set up the equaliser in the 79th minute and is still on the pitch according to Sky Score Centre.
-
He's credited with the assist for their equaliser as it ends 3-3. They remain in the relegation zone above Burton and Bolton.

Midfielder for Saturday
-
Was going to watch v boro on sky but duncs not in the squad injured but not badly apparently
-
If Moyes goes to West Ham that might increase the possibility of him coming in for Dunc, I believe he rates him highly.

Confirmed as new ammers boss
-
Duncan becomes only the 20th player to commit to Juan Mata's Common Goal Project - and I dare say he'll be on a fraction of the other players quoted too.
Good lad - so proud he's one of ours.
-
Coleman is the new Sunderland boss, I wonder what he thinks of Duncan? He must be bringing players in,... will he sell any ?

Believe Duncan was injured yesterday not sure how badly , one scenario presuming he gets fit would be coleman doesnt rate him and sells him to another championship club for four million or thereabouts.

His injury record is going to start affecting his price now, maybe it is a good job Sinnot proteted him so much

Having a scan on knee today

In fairness, no amount of protection could have prepared him for the injury he suffered. If he has reaggravated it, I guess its just comes with the territory. Fingers crossed its not as bad as I'm reading on Twitter.
-
Sunderland fans expecting bad news lets hope it's not .
-
It's his cruciate on the same knee as last time.
-
Gutted for him if he's out for the season
-
Really terrible news.
-
Bad news all round.
Speedy recovery
-
Being reported on Sky Sports News as a the same injury he had last time and out for at least 10
months. I sincerely hope not but this could threaten his career. Hope he makes a full recovery.
-
This is awful news - but Duncan's a good lad and he'll have the mental strength (and support) to come back from this again.
Scott Hogan did the same injury twice for Brentford, was managed back properly, scored a shedload of goals and was promptly signed by Aston Villa.
-
Gutted for the lad. He's young enough to make a full recovery and kick on with his career though, and his mental attitude will carry him through again. Best wishes for a FULL (not TOO speedy) recovery.
-
Very sad to hear that Dunc is badly injured again. Take your time fella with your recovery, age is on your side.
Best wishes lad..
-
Real Madrid send Duncan a letter wishing him a speedy recovery: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5148125/Real-Madrid-send-Sunderlands-Duncan-Watmore-classy-letter.html
Must be admirers!

Out of all the players I've watched he deserves to make it more than anyone else, very cruel on the lad. I also want him to make it to the top so that he is sold for a wedge and we get some much needed money. I worry that two operations on the same knee could be a game changer. I hope not.

Scott Hogan at Brentford did the same knee twice in a similar time period to Duncan - came back stronger than ever and got a £12m move to Aston Villa.
If anyone's got the attitude to come back stronger, it's Duncan. Fingers crossed.
