Following a pitch inspection this morning by a local referee, today's game has been called off, due to a waterlogged pitch.
-
At least we found out before setting off. Its windy here in Shrewsbury and we have had plenty of rain in the last few days..

Very little rain here in Altrincham, bemused

I would get some new glasses and/or a hearing aid then.
You do know rain stays in the ground longer than 5 minutes don't you?
Bemused by your bemusement.

You're the only that is then. I'm as disappointed as anyone not to have had a game on today, but have a wander over to the Mersey and/or the Bollin is you're in any doubt about why it was postponed.

The name Moss Lane is in it self should give you a clue as to why it gets waterlogged , I think it generally has been improved over the years , thanks to the splendid work done by the groundsman , when I was a young fan in sixties if it rained it inevitably got called off , but hardly ever nowadays .

hardly ever nowadays?
Games always off after a little rain. I only been going since the 80's, but games get called off far quicker and easier now than at any other time
The games gone

Maybe if you'd spent Xmas Day covering the pitch with buckets, then keeping them emptied, we might have had a match to watch. Just sheer selfishness.

The ground is on a moss you utter pillock. I think you do this for a reaction sometimes, grow up.

The awkward moment when you highlight that someone is trolling and people still rise to it.
