Generally speaking by early June I've had enough footy and look forward to a few weeks of cricket and relaxation. Nothing too stressful on the sporting front so to speak.
This year it's different. I am desperate for the new season to start, see what Lee and the squad he is building can do for Alty FC. The anticipation seems greater this year & I can't bloody wait. I get the feeling I'm not alone either, following the discussions is one thing, following Alty games is a diffferent thing altogether.
I am bored. Bring on the new season.

Agreed, as I've said before though if I had a choice when this break would be I would say the winter time, its such a waste of good whether and income as more fans watch when its warm, but hey that's life

What you could do is imagine a season, predicting all likely scores, I'll start with Droysden 1-0 Altrincham, opening game of the season, a tough fixture and disappointing start

We're unlikely to start with a local derby. I think we'll be sent to Colwyn Bay on the opening day, and will grind out a 2-1 victory.

i am psyched for colwyn bay opening day (there's a poem there somewhere)

Good job we don't play a team from Buckingham then!

When we played a team from Buckingham(shire) in the FA Trophy we got well and truly "ducked" !
