I appreciate that there will be the possibility of bias, however courts deal with this problem everyday through the process of examination and cross-examination.

Imagine if there was a fight and a photo was taken just before and after a punch was thrown; the only witnesses were the friends of the two people involved in the fight.

I would think it very odd if the court were to ignore the testimony of all those witnesses and opt to make a decision based on showing the photos to a fighting expert.

At the very least, both experts and those that saw the incident should be consulted.
