I for one am tremendously excited, if a little nervous about the next week and beyond. If, as reported, we've had been flooded with applicants, I hope this will be the dawn of a new and successful era for Altrincham FC!

After the disappointment of relegation and Ken's decision to quit, I am beginning to feel a renewed sense of optimism and hope for what lies ahead.

I can't wait for the new manager to get onboard and start the rebuilding process!

I think it was 40 applicants about 48 hours after the news of kens departure broke.So who knows what the final number will be when applications close tomorrow.There are so many managers out of work,from the dave pennys etc,to those weve hardly heard of,plus maybe the lure of the alty job might tempt some that are already in employment.Exciting times indeed.The sooner the decision is made the sooner we can start to build a decent squad,an look forward with confidence to the first friendly

A working knowledge of a league doesnt mean you have got to have managed in it.The chairman said there were no parameters,thus meaning,they way i see it,that the new man must have experience of the league,which can come in numerous forms
