Title: Revenue from Millwall game
Post by: fuertes on November 13, 2007, 12:57:10 PM
I noticed on the official Alty site that it says a £5,000 police bill means little will have been made on the game...but there were 2,500 people there and TV revenue was worth £13,000. Surely Alty did reasonably well out of the game?

Police bill
priniting costs
toilets
snack bars

Gate money is split 50/50

Not alot of profit left tbh.

Er... Surely the snack bars were a source of income, if they weren't why on earth would the club have made provisions for extra ones to be at the ground?

Take VAT off the ticket receipts as well...HM govt. always wants a slice of the action, and has to pay for its ludicrously out of control spending somehow...

Excellent, a Tory boy confusing this for a political forum. Still, annoying that not much was made out of it. Would've been a better live game than the 'big west country derby' that barely qualified as a potential giant killing.

The fact that it ultimately was the biggest shock of the round probably made the Beeb happy though...

I believe that only 1 of Saturdays snack bars belongs to Alty and consequently only the revenue from that outlet is Alty's

The other snack bars would have paid to be there though, which is certainly the case with Maria in the Golf Road end.

Tory boy.....I bet you'd miss the ethnic men's cross dressing and hairdressing appreciation club you have locally?
It's got to be paid for somehow....

Would be a nice gesture if Millwall gave us their share of the receipts rewarding a well run club..and they could pretend they are chelsea and do their image a power of good.

I am glad you all focused in on the snack bars, the most important part of my post.

More or less a whole thread now about snack bars.

Maybe focus more on the more important issues like the spelling perhaps.
