There is news about Altrincham FC secretary Derek Wilshaw on the club's website.
-
May I echo his sentiments. I was once club secretary at Unicorn Athletic for 3 years. There is much you are responsible for, and Derek for me, always ensured the club ran smoothly. Not an easy job even at Junior level so 10-fold at Altrincham's level.
Thanks Derek, hope we still see you regularly at the club, appreciate your major contribution over the last 20 years and more. Welcome also to Paul from Stalybridge, our new replacement.

Derek is an unsung hero, a very modest and capable man. He and his wife Anne have been totally dedicated and done a fantastic job and so deserve the accolades they will receive :)

Years of dedication & great service-thank you Derek.
I assume with his well earned retirement that Derek will also step down from his duties with the Board too? Would be interested to confirm the current composition of the BoD once we have it.
-
Thanks for all your hard work over 20 years fella.
Enjoy your well earned retirement and I'm sure we will see you at the games next season.
Ray.

Many thanks, Derek. A true clubman if ever there was one.

True stalwart of the club.

A true gentleman and unsung hero of the club.
Thank you Derek

Best wishes Derek - I shall shake your hand when next I see you.

True stalwart of the club.
Thanks
As above.......these are the volunteers who should be getting MBEs.....not actors who have had a good week on TV

Always a cheerful and helpful presence, whether on the phone or in the flesh. Good administration is the bedrock of a successful club and Derek has more than played his part in ensuring that. His successor - to whom a warm welcome - has a hard act to follow!
-
Thanks Derek, you've done a fantastic job over the years. Look forward to catching up at games in the coming season.
Thanks again. Dave
