This was so obviously going to happen, playing twice a week, not bringing in reinforcements is what will cost us, that and a complete lack of being able to stand up to being bullied.

It would be all right Sinnott running with his preferred small squad if all those in it were capable of performing at an equal level. But we are unable to turn up once a couple of key players are unavailable.

Frankly I don't give a toss if we do somehow manage to scrape through the playoffs (and I'm not holding my breath) because all the same problems are there that were evident last season, and nothing changes. If we did go up, we'd be back down before you could say "SINNOUT".

It wasn't for the want of trying Pete

Not wanting to sit on the bench
Lee
Tols
Graham
The clubs travelling
Other squad players
Having mates at other clubs

No use in speculating on such matters, however, I'd say areas where we needed strengthening and cover were apparent long before the last couple of weeks before the deadline.

Being brutally honest we missed the boat - left it far too late to replace players in key positions thus leaving  the squad with no slack factored in for injury/suspension etc. Who actually goes out and about, looking for suitable replacements apart from LS and Tolse

You are assuming there was some bottomless pit of cash available for replacements anyway.

You don't need a bottomless pit of cash, every club in this league strengthened either via loans or permanent signings for the deadline. You don't need a bottomless pit to employ somebody for 8 weeks, and I thought there was spare budget available to strengthen later in the season?
