Fan base is another interesting one and I must say WELL DONE to the club for encouraging the local schools to attend matches.

of course 'new fans' are easier to get when the team is doing well on the pitch so lets see what next season brings... I think at the moment we should be tryin to keep the ones we've got  ;)

Surely not everyone can be as daft as us .... or can they  ;D ;D

New fans need to be respected though. If 200 turned up a very small percentage of them would support everything, some you wouldn't know were here and a lot would probably heckle like mad.

But in the end taht's how you grow, you have to be brave enough to live with them, not tell them they have 'unrealistic expectations' and make them feel unwelcome as we idd with the new / curious at the Exeter game this year. Serious.

Indeed that was the most disappointing thing about the Exeter game, everybody turned up with positive (not neccessarily high) expectations for the start of the new season and left feeling gobsmacked and upset at a certain persons behaviour. I think many people were just frustrated at conceeding 2 late goals after leading and not annoyed that we had played badly. There have been worse lows than losing 4-1 at home to Exeter City. If the club is to continue to grow its fanbase it will need to learn to take some crticism in the short term.
