Paul McGee was far better on Alty Clubcall......

Whatever happened to him, Flynny?

Didn't he start a career as a 'motivational speaker'...?

Yes...you can find out all about him on www.thesumoguy.com.

He's now a Bradford City season ticket holder & also watches Wigan Athletic. His last Alty game was on August Bank Holiday Monday 2001 when we lost 2-0 at home to Burton Albion.I am out with him the night before our trip to the Pirelli so I will endeavour to get his footballing life back on the right track then ;)

He is one of my Slim for Alty sponsors so fair play for that!

Might not be doing programmes on the telly - but I'm sure I've heard his voice on countless adverts!

You'll have to ask someone else about that - I don't watch that much TV! ::)

That's exactly what Mrs. Flynn said when she heard him on the Radio last week!

A pint of Jenny's finest lager for the first person who can remember the last game he was at Moss Lane for :o

Darlington...

I don't remember him being at that game, however you were head honcho of all things commercial at that point & may know better.

The game I am thinking of was prior to that.

Mister Flynn,

You definitely owe Ecky a pint (does the Noel White Suite now serve SlimFast milkshakes on draught though?).

Stuart Hall was present and working for Radio Five when we played Darlington at Moss Lane on 8th December 2001.

Deffo: he was regaling anyone who'd listen with stories the way only he can tell them!

I also once served him a loaf of white bread from the bakery at the Safeway in Wilmslow

I suppose I had an unfair advantage on that one as we was sat next tio me.

Lovely chirpy banterish chap as soon as the radio link went live "Mark Maddox rose like a Salmon, Moss Lane erupts....ahhh the magic of the cup"

Then when it was not on he was a complete diva moaning about everything he could see.

Kind of spoilt the "here come the Belgians" laugh a minute, its a knockout image for me.

I definitely owe you a big fat pint Ecky......suggest that you claim it after the weigh in on February 21st!

The game I was thinking of was the FA Cup 2nd Round against  Wigan in 1994.

Stuart Hall - by a mile

Is he still going ?

He is still going and is beginning to look as eccentric as he sounds. He covered Everton's game with Hull for BBC Radio FiveLive last Saturday and flounced through the press room wearing a huge tweed peaked cap and full-length brown fur coat, as favoured by well-heeled women in the middle of the last century. I kid you not.

His Voice can be heard on Saturdays on Radio 5 Live, commentating on Premier League Games. His flowery descriptions of what is happening are priceless
