Any news on scorers? Just from that it sounded like we played well. Will be interesting to find out what people have said?

Rod scored our goal which would have delighted him .. believe Man U's first was given as an OG ?

We passed and played well in patches.

Lane and Sedgemore were solid, Pottsy did very well when he came on.

Utd worked hard and gave us a good runout, I thought Peyton looked exposed on a few occasions at the back.

I take it that Coo wasnt playing then?

Coo came on for Peyton but then seemed to play in centre mid and looked a bit too right footed.

He played 1/4 of the game, not too bad but could'nt pass judgement on what I saw.

Decent game tonight, decent performance from both sides and 2-2 would have been fair. Thought Berkley this time showed what he is about, good pace and power and unlucky not to score after a great move. Joe and Rod both had good games, Rod seemed a lot fitter than he has been recently. Bit suspect at the back for both their goals, Stuart pulled off some decent stops as well.

Anyone know when Senior will get a run out? Is he fit to play?

alty line up for those interested

Coburn

Lane
Rose
Munroe
Peyton

Lawton
Sedgemore
Owen
Thornley

O'Neill
Little

Subs:
Baguley for Owen
Coo for Peyton
Aspinal for Lane
Mcfadden for Thornley
Berkeley for O'neill
Potts for Lawton.

Overall good performance, but a bit dissapointed trailists werent given a full start. Potts looked lively and produced crosses we needed last season, berkeley gave pace to the front line, and was unlucky not to score. Baguley played well and would look like a good addition to the squad. Coo played in 3 positions (LB, LW & CM) looked solid enough.. Sedgemoore and Lane were solid through out. Tinson and senior werent even named as sub, so can only assume they had a knock or injury.

Thought Lane was very impressive indeed  ;D
Thought Baguely looked like a very decent player on the ball but got very concerned defensively, because there wasnt that reassurance you get with Val that hes going to charge back and help out at the back. Don't think he and Sedgemore would be a good centre mid combination
Berkley impressed me alot more than bury and thought his work rate was outstanding
Rod and Little looked in really good shape  ;D
Stuart made some great saves to keep us in the game.
Whilst I think Utd always had the edge, we could have easily got a draw
OVERALL AN IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE

I agree it was a more than useful work-out.

In the conference, we are unlikely to come across a team who are as comfortable on the ball and who moved so well off the ball as Man U, even if it was there third/fourth string. When Alty gave the ball away, it took an age to get it back. Having said that I thought we deserved a share of the spoils.

Of the new boys:-

Laney is looking like a quality signing.
Sedge didn't impose himself enough and his dead ball kicks were ineffective.
Tinson - was he rested or injured? His organisation and verbal skills were missed!

Triallists:-

I agree they need more pitch time. None of them started and we know what those that did start can do.

Coo looked lost at LB but much better when he moved into midfield.
Chris B was busy and did OK
Pottsy looked hungry (as ever!)
Matty B's impact was impressive - he looked fast and linked up well - if only he had put away that chance from Pottsy!

Another late cameo from Pat. I see he is yet to sign. Is there trouble at t'mill?
Same goes for Acton - not on the bench, not signed yet?

Thats clarification!!!
Hope acton and pat sign
In terms of Sedgemore, lets give him some time
I mean he impressed for Kidderminster and Northwich so I still think hel be a good signing once he gets going!

First half we were'nt at our best, but Alty played well in the second an we should have got a draw. But all credit to Man u, some of those lads they were playing looked very gd players possible stars of the future for them i think.
But over all i think the Alty side seemed to be playin well, with Little an Coburn in gd form, so over all well done :)
