The trainline want to send me via Sheffield. They say it will take over three hours. It is only eighty minutes by car.

There's no direct route by train. You're best off going by car or on the club coach travel.

I have never been on the coach. The no booze rule puts me off and they always leave straight after the game, so there is no chance to have a look around or visit local pubs. But i might give it a go this time. I don't like missing FA Cup games.

I'm sure you can get 7 in a taxi if you ask for a black cab  ;D

I'm pretty sure you can only get 5 in a black cab and to travel that way would not be cost effective at all.

Sharp cookie?  Christ I'd love to meet some of your less intellectual fans..

You only need to mention "come on a skateboard" and you have completed the full set of comments you make when you're twelve.

I bet you were one of the one holding up fingers going 1-0 at the segregation..another classic teenage trait that looks a bit odd when done by 40 year olds...

"See that skateboard over there! That's how all your fans are going to Mansfield that is!"

I was only pointing to myself the other day and saying to Jennifers Mum: "See that bloke, the ugly one with a big nose and no hair, that's your boyfriend that is!"

I seem to remember a trivia question about the biggest town in England not to have a railway station - Mansfield Parkway is a few miles out. From my previous visits to the town, there's not a great deal of decent real ale on offer either.
