We might play either of them yet

as both Northwich Vics and Macc won in the FA Cup today...

as did West Allotment Celtic, though I daresay their pitch might be a bit rubbish! Love too see the local derby against East Allotment Rangers!

We could also play even more local opposition in the form of Wythenshawe Town. In their first ever FA Cup game, they came back from 2-0 down to beat Thackley 3-2. Greg Wilkinson scored one of their goals.

Last minute winner, as per tradition?

Greg has played the last two games at centre half for them. Can't be too bad as they've won both, and he's scored in both!

They also had the awful trauma of a player's death just before the season started. The players decided that they would still fulfill the early fixtures and have made a fine start at a higher level following their promotion.

I went to Newcastle Poly, watched a game at West Allotment once, in those days they mimicked Newcastle and wore black and white, believe they have jumped on the green hoops bandwagon now. The team name is actually a district between Newcastle and South Shields/Tynemouth, near Shiremoor Metro.

Has it been rebranded West Allotment University?

It's just basically a massive business park with a massive Village Hotel in the middle of it.

Why were Macc allowed to enter the FA Cup? In the past new clubs had to wait a season before they were to compete in the FA Cup.

That's more like it! 😉
