10 days of mourning. The best way to remember her would be for the plebs to forgo any leisure activities, whilst trudging dutifully into work for the 10 days. No fun, no enjoyment, the Protestant work ethic in action. Unpaid overtime for all? Perhaps.

Games should carry on. Trying to avoid politics so I'll just say life is for the living and the best way we can honour all our loved ones who have died is to carry on doing our best and making the most of our time on planet earth.

I’m sure a respectful minute silence prior to kick off  would be suffice. No Hand clapping, just a moment for reflection..

I suspect a lot is to do with policing as plenty of resources will be required with crowds over the coming days.

That's not to say we shouldn't conform to international weekend protocol and press on with non-league.

Why would anyone think it is a good idea to restrict the right to work of employees at Altrincham FC?  I am sad but, as already mentioned, the right thing to do is to get on with life so long as it isn't putting extra pressure on overstretched services. Where that is the case obviously exceptions should be made. I hope we go ahead.

Nonsense decision.

Are we seeing mass hysteria set in?

Handled badly by "the powers that be". No consideration given to Wealdstone now having to trek up here on a Tuesday. No thought for anyone who may have booked train tickets, or overnight accommodation. Two minutes silence and the National Anthem really would have sufficed - we'll probably get those on Tuesday if we're allowed to play then.

This, multiplied by however many other games are impacted in the top 4 leagues too.

The authorities have stressed there is no protocol on the matter (rugby still going ahead as far as I understand).

Massive own goal by the National League as usual - as insensitive as it may sound, would have been a great chance to boost attendances across non-league for the day.

Yes.

Given the state of the country and the economy and the massive disruption caused by COVID postponing events like this is wrong.

It was out of the National League's hands. The FA have called off football at all levels, including grassroots, over the weekend.
It was an over the top decision, I agree.

Ah, fair enough.

I do question the wisdom of shutting down a country that is already struggling.
