well knock me down with a rolled up copy of Exchange & Mart.

Not sour grapes as I wasn't too fussed about England getting it anyway but FIFA may as well put a till at the reception desk and have done with it.

Absolutely disgraceful. Qatar especially is an awful decision. They're the same size as Northern Ireland. They're downsizing or demolishing almost all of the stadia after the tournament finishes. The games will be played in 50 degree heat.

Russia over England = Poor decision.

Qatar over Australia = Mind-bogglingly sh*te decision.

The bribes have won.

The fkn Oligarchs win again...............

I wouldnt mind a bet that Abramovich pisses off back to Russia anytime soon to jump on the gravy train......

Not surprised by the outcome though....

If we didn't win it, I was hoping holland because it's 1 1/2 on the ferry so close, I wanted America to have 2022 :/

And if it was meant to be a European bid - does that mean it's only west Russia that has it?

The games will be at really wierd times - they can be between 2-9 ahead of us - 3pm could be 5am , 7pm could be 10am :S

Finally does anyone know how much it cost us to put a bid together?

The irony of it all to me was the fact that two of the presenters on behalf of the Russian bid were Roman Arbramovich and Andrily Arshavan both of whom can't be arsed to live in their own bidding country and prefer to live and work in England !

Both decisions stink of money and corruption in my opinion.

But hey ho who gives a monkey's cuss.

Shan't be bothering to save up to go to either.

Russia over England = Poor decision.

1. Russia, 2. Spain/Portugal, 3. Belgium/Holland 4. England.

2/3s of Russia is inhabitable, the majority of this being the "eastern side". There are relatively few cities in the east. The majority of matches are more than likely to be played in Moscow/St Petersburg etc
