This is my favourite bit..
"Last season Town regularly attracted around 250 people to games at the CNG Stadium, but Irvine Weaver says that needs to be increased to 700 to break even."
So crowds need to triple then..seems like a sound plan.

Here's my favourite bit
An outsider may say there's nepotism here
Do you really think so??
-
The bit they dont tell you is that if the take over hadnt gone through they would have had to drop down a couple of levels to stay in business,he had also been bank rolling his sons plaything for the last year to a certain degree.

More unsackable than GH :D
-
:-\ Football really is becoming a farce.

"There is a fixed budget, it's a realistic budget. This has got to be on a business footing."
if he pitched his plans to dragons den he'd be laughed off....
he probably needs to sack the manager if he couldn't get them promoted with fotherby's money behind him....................oh...

I think its good news, can't possibly work, with another director being a players dad too. Harrogate out of the running for me, despite previous predictions
-
Just read this rather ominous line (ominous for harrogate fans)....He is currently chairman of Strata Homes and acquires control of Harrogate by virtue of Fotherby selling his stake in the club to the housing firm.
I can see harrogate's 250 rattling round in a purpose built stadium that they can't afford worrying about the holding company who can't sell all their houses that they built on the old ground site.
or am I just reading too much into a property company buying a football club in this climate using phrases like self sufficient and crowds of 700 needed before they've even got their bulldozer started feet under the table...
-
Reminds me of the Maunders era. Every time that guy looked across the pitch, he visualised a housing estate >:(
-
Fotherby was a spent force, who was widely accused of stripping funds out of Elland Road while he was owner. As a place I cannot abide Harrogate and I find this club as arrogant as the spanners that live in the town.
