Due to me now living in Shropshire it is difficult for me to help out the club in such things as being a steward or in another capacity which requires me to be at the ground early  for every game be it youth team Utd reserves etc.

I try to offset that by doing such things as being a patron. buying raffles./sponsorships/golden goals etc. I also go in the bar for a drink  and use the catering facility each game. and chuck a couple of quid in the bucket at half time.

I am contiually impressed by the number of people who do give up there time voluntarily to help run the best part time club bar none.

Long may it continue..

16 years on the safety team. Why? i am still trying to work that one out.

Is there any truth in the rumour that Darren will be stewarding the remaining matches of the season dressed as Adolf Hitler and shouting Achtung at everyone in recognition of him drawing Germany in the World Cup draw ?  ::)  ;)

That's uncanny, as I believe that ATS and Kim Jong-il were on the same referees' training and induction course at Salisbury Road playing fields in Broadheath back in 1988.

Makes sense. Although of course we mustn't have a go at referees. It's a ronery job.

I believe that Kim Jong-il failed the course because of his insistence on brandishing the red card at every opportunity.
