Really think the SD team should be beating teams like the other team, if not heads should roll

For me Gateshead will still win the league given they have only lost 3 times, could be a mid table conf team and serious competition next year, hoping for a flash in the pan to join them in the playoffs to make life easier next year

It's Brackley who've only lost three games this season. Gateshead have lost six.
Sorry - stupid glasses!  Ok Brackley to win it then

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: away tickets
« on: April 01, 2022, 09:49:16 AM »
Expecting our away game at wrexham on bank holiday monday to be a sell out (in the home section), does anyone know whether we will be issuing the away tickets? or if they will be buy from wrexham?

The game is still 19 days away & it's not unusual to have not received any match information, including tickets, at this point.

I think that BT Sport may be on the point of announcing their next tranche of live games & it's highly likely that Wrexham will be involved here & there could be a change of KO time for at least 1 of their April games, although I would be surprised if it's against us.

Also, Wrexham have a bizarre fixture schedule having played their last 2 games at home & their next 5 games are all at The Racecourse. Our game is the final one of this 7 game run.
Therefore, whilst it's our next away trip, Wrexham have 4 home fixtures to play before we trundle across the border on Easter Monday. This may mean that it might be next week before we hear anything.

Thanks Brian, for understandable reasons i'm keen to go to this one

Quite a list of prohibited items posted up by the turnstiles now. Seems sad that unaccompanied kids can't go now. I'm sure many of us started going to Alty just turning up with mates. No prams or buggies, so that limits the young families coming. And no sticks. Does that include walking sticks like the one I'm finding myself using more and more these days?
I've not seen the pram / buggies but this does seem odd, hardly family friendly

Fingers crossed the half term music is okay for everyone.
That's ages away, do we really have to wait until May for some music?

I see Gateshead thrashed Kiddy 4-0 this afternoon. And I was quite looking forward to cottage pie again next season 😂
Shockingly the food has gone at Kiddy, they changed them last year, just the usual burger and chips stuff now

If it is a loan I just hope it is until the end of the season, not a fan of one month loans. We need the stability for the run-in plus a few wins..
I think he'll be match fit if he plays a few games so guess it will be just a month, perfect foil for Hulme moving to a 442

I think our 'second season syndrome' runs the risk of kicking in properly next season, given the league structure is a bit of a mess this season. I'm still confident we'll survive this season, because there are only 2 spots available.

Next season, however - that'll be challenging. I expect both promoted NLN teams to be stronger than us, which is certainly a different dynamic compared to when we came up with King's Lynn.
I thought it was 3 down

For me I'm just nervous.  In my opinion we have been given such a fantastic chance to establish ourselves and stay in this league or better for years to come.  If we were to just scuff the odd point here or there we could find ourselves in a relegation battle.  If we went down I think it would be years before we returned.  Chorley, brackley, fylde, chester, kidderminster.  The league below has plenty of quality or potential quality teams.  Perhaps it was injuries or bad luck but it just didnt look right straight away last night, and it didnt look like getting any better.  I could not see us getting back into the game, was praying just to be 1 down by half time to change it, when the 2nd went in, it was game over

It is silly because I believe as the club isnt registered in Wales they cant apply for any of the Welsh Government funding.  Not my favourite club but they have been done over here
