I notice that this is only the 5th outing this season for our ref on Saturday. No doubt he'll be looking to put in a good performance (eg get noticed) so expect to have paid your entrance fee to have watched him !!!
On the plus side, Im predicting a positive result. Wasnt overly impressed with Burton on Monday night despite their win against Exeter and think their keeper is definately worth a goal. Didnt think that they were overly physical at the back either (something we have struggled with in the past) so I would quite like to see Peter " whats that coming onto the pitch, is it a Monster" Thompson either start or get a good half hour.
Alty 2 Burton 0

Any takers?

Hi,
It won't be the Referees 5th outing of the season all told, just his 5th at Conference National level.
He'll have reffed on the FA Premier reserve League and in other competitions as well as being a National List Assistant and will have been assessed on most if not all of his previous performances
I think we had him last season and he was generally okay from memory

"Mr Cummins was also, coincidentally, the referee of our most recent home game against next Saturday's visitors, Burton Albion. In that match, won 2-1 by the Brewers, he booked six Alty players and left the field to a chorus of booing at the end of the game. He also reffed the Alty v Dagenham game earlier last season in which he allowed a goal to be scored into an empty net from a quick freekick when the ball was moving, with Alty keeper Coburn stranded."
The above is a quote from the John Laidlar site!
Looks like your memory's a little dodgy! ;)

My memory is fine, as I think you'll notice that Saturdays Ref is Mr A L Halliday and not Steve Cummins.
Only a minor point I know, but probably quite important really in the bigger scheme of things
-
A draw would be a good result, although its getting so tight now a win is probably needed more.
Will need a Stevenage/Halifax type performance from the lads to take 3 points. Surely the lads are due to put one in again soon.

I think they like to play football, which should suit us going forwards?
Lets hope GH picks a good balance to open up Burton at the back!!
Come on the Robin's!!!!
I'd start Rod, seeing he got three midweek, that surely would boost his confidence?

Whatever the refs name is....
Let's face it, they none of them up to much and are there thinking we've paid our hard earned money to watch them perform...he'll be practising in front of the mirror as we speak for his big occasion.
