Title: FA CUP predictions
Post by: Robin Reliant on September 30, 2011, 05:02:43 PM
Thought I'd start this,
Alty 3, witton 1

A little nervous about this game, but we should be OK if the right Alty team turns up!

Most  so called giantkilling  happens when the lower ranked team is at home... ;)

Altrincham 3 Witton Albion 0

Reeves 24, Twiss 85, Williams 88

Att - 854 (200 Witon)

A flattering scoreline from a hard fought game...never looked like a 3-0 right up until a Twiss rocket on 85 mins.

2 jester hats in witton crowd, one foil FA cup and a really fat man in a bright t-shirt.

3-1 to the Alty. The game will go almost exactly as last night's match between Spurs and Shamrock Rovers. Except instead of Defoe, Dos Santos and Pavlyuchenko, it'll be Clee, Reeves and Twiss doing the damage.

796 in attendance, 178 of them from Witton.

5-1 Alty. Stunning wing play from both Lawie and Clee produce 20+ chances. If only.

3-1 Alty hard fought win, superior fitness proves it worth as we score 2 in last 10 mins to progress.

750 att (100 Witton).

All 750 sing 'We all p*ss in a green and white pot' for the entire 1st half.

9-4  utter madness, alty go 2-0 down in first 5mins, fans moan that the red black kit is a bad omen, at half time its 5-2, fans struggle to keep score as the second half is a goal fest.

Alty 2-1 Witton  Att: 803 (127 from Witton)  I also sincerely hope we will be keeping this segregated, there should be no Golf Road End privileges for visiting fans in a game like this.

2-0 Alty (Densmore, Reeves)

A frustrating first half sees Alty create and spurn loads of chances. In the second half a 25 yard free kick from Densmore puts us ahead, before Reves puts the tie beyond doubt.

For the first time this season Reeves and co. convert the majority of chances created, with the outcome :

ALTY  7(SEVEN) - 0  Witton.  ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Can't be bothered doing a huge essay prediction (just to get it WRONG) as I usually do.
Sooooo.... Alty 7-0 Witton.
Reeves (3), Clee, Lawrie, Twiss, Mulholland.

I don't mean to disrespect or underestimate Witton, but we're (kinda) on a run of good form, and confidence will bring out the shine for this annihilation.

bringing some moderation, and possibly common sense back to the thread.

Altrincham 1
Witton 0

The team come out in the sunshine wearing the new strip. and go on to beat Witton 4-0  Reeves Densmore Twiss and Clee and the club pockets a welcome 4k in the process.

799 fans 103 from Witton...

Well I'M getting in ahead of Daisy. We'll win 4-1 (Twiss, Reeves, Williams, Densmore) and Witton's goal will come when they're two down, and we're coasting, galvanising us into finishing them off.

Attendance 656, 147 from Witton.

3-3. (H-T 0-3). A first half hat-trick for Danny Andrews for Witton. Twiss, Reeves and a last minute goal from Coburn earns a replay at the Help the Heroes Stadium next Wednesday. Att 843. (212 away)

As long as we win I'm not too arsed if it's a 1-0 off the back of someones aris'

If we turn up as we have in the last couple of games we should have enough, but no room for complacency lads - let's do 'em.

Come on Alty!

This is the bit that I am looking forward to most to be honest.

I've always liked Witton, and slagging of the vics with another group of fans will be brilliant.

Almost as good as/if not better than the anti Colin Peake songs that got a rousing chorus at Grays/Woking after out 18 point deduction.

I've even got a witton albion shirt! But I'll be donning the emaculate red and black tommorow and hope it becomes a regularity

I think everyone is being far too overconfident here. They are on a good winning run and will be desperate to perform well. In a hotly contested firt half, they will take the lead, we will equalise with a lucky deflected goal by Densmore but it will end 2-1 Alty with a last minute penalty winner byReevesy. Mark Harris will moon in the directors box and Brian Flynn will be caught singing in the bar after the match whilst drinking Peroni.  Crowd 759 (109).

Any sort of win will do.

Witton have been doing well in their league so they'll be confident of pinching something. I don't see it being a walkover.

I'll go for 3-1 to Alty.

I think like most of us after the last 2 league results you thought/hoped we had turned the corner as regards results/performances agains poor sides.

Very disappointed that we are already out of the FA Cup at such an early stage.

Nuneaton had a great away win at Needham and the title chasing Colwyn Bay lost away to Stocksbridge steel.
Have we really turned the corner? NO!

i dont do em for 2 reasons,
1 we really dont know whats the scores are going to be and 2 i think it shows a bit of disrespect to the other team
Thats why last time i posted on predictions i put something silly like 15-1,just dont see the point.

Of course we had turned a corner we had won 3 out of 4 games before that, scored a good few goals and looked a lot more solid at the back.

No-one saw that performance coming but prior to it we were certainly on the right track.

We need to get back on it Saturday now with a determined showing.
