Well here goes

1. They are my local team and they always make me feel welcome.
2. Honestly ran with a good natured fan base.
3. Its like eating a chippy in bed, so wrong but so right at the same time

3) Inexplicably raises a lot of passion in me - even Jennifer's Mum can't do that!

3) The history and honour that comes with supporting Altrincham FC

1). The realisation by other people that I support a local club I genuinely love, rather than being just another armchair supporter of a big club.
2). The ability to actually interact with the players.
3). All the times that we've "over-achieved" in cup competitions, especially Goodison, White Hart Lane, and at Wembley. Though my all time favourite was the win at Rotherham.

1) I've just grown to love them in the same way you can't choose your family I wasn't given a choice as a 5 yr old who my club was going to be
2) it's my local club and i don't have to leave my house for a home match at midday and queue for an hour on the stretford road to get to a game that I willhave to  leave 10 minutes before the final whistle in order to be home for x factor.
3) it's a little different to the expected norm and gives me a chance to chuckle every time someone asks me "so what are you red or blue?"

For me its all about supporting my local club from the  town where i was born and have always lived. Go to games alone but know i could do the social bit with some pretty sound people who are alty fans  if i wanted to .

For better or worse, richer or poorer, till death do us part.   In football you can separate but there is no divorce.

I've had affairs with other teams (some of those experiences were exiting) but they we both knew they weren't the real thing and I'd be going back to Alty as soon as the I got the chance.
