Up to the lofty heights of 18th!

Really bunched up at the bottom now.

Excellent result, delighted for Parky, Sorvs and the lads.
Sounded like Marcus's goal was a belter.
2 wins out of last 3 games.

That sounded good, well done lads. Looks like we are running into a bit of form now, we have played a lot of fancied teams already this season.

Well done to the lads and Parky & Sorvs.

Next up Dorking this Saturday in our first meeting with them.

superb! when did we last score 3?!

Seems like it was Frickley Colliery

(Now there's a temptation to get political if ever I saw it!).

Dorking did actually go bust though to be fair this is pretty much an Accrington/Accrington Stanley situation.

That’s a huge 3 points, a comeback win on a Tuesday night at Gateshead-a fixture that normally has misery written all over it. Hopefully a marker too for the Cup game a week Saturday. We absolutely must build on this vs Dorking on Saturday now and it will feel like the season is really motoring then.

PS-that was our first league win at Gateshead since Saturday 06 April 2002 when we won 2-0 with goals from Rod Thornley and Kevin Hulme in front of a mere 172 fans. Thank you Mr Laidlar. Puts an extra shine on the win after 20 fruitless years.

Great result!  Truly feared the worst after conceding so early but what a comeback!

Well done to those that were calling for perspective.

One way to look at it is that we've lost 6/7 unexpected points (home games v Maidstone, Yeovil & Scunny - maybe a point at Maidenhead) but picked up 4 unexpected ones (Bromley, Boreham Wood, and 2 last night).

Imagine if we were actually a trigger happy club and were now trying to bed in a new manager?! Christ. People were acting like the season was almost over, and that the squad is nowhere near good enough - which isn't true.

Two wins in three doesn't mean we'll finish in the top half either, by the way. It's this concept called 'form'.

Rant over! On to Saturday. Underwhelming home point for Dorking against Yeovil tonight (sounds familiar) so hopefully we're playing them at a good time.

With only 3 points separating the bottom 9 clubs, a win against Dorking would pull us clear of the drop zone. Hopefully our confidence is restored.

We are the only one of those 9 who are neither an ex-league club nor a phoenix club (Aldershot, Maidstone, FC Halifax).
