Who do people want to win today?
I'm going for :
Notts County and Chesterfield
Kidderminster and Chester
St Albans and Worthing
Though I think King's Lynn, Dartford or Oxford might do it.
Am I wrong in thinking it was Kidderminster fans who serenaded us about never playing us again many moons ago?
-
Looking an uphill battle for stalebuns. Dartford 1-0 up after 12 minutes.
-
Kiddie in the lead.
-
Come on Notts county don’t f**k this up
-
Notts county now 2-0 down
Did not see this happening.
-
County are playing a bit like Alty only at a higher level…, creating lots of chances and not converting them, then concede two soft goals. They do play a high line which in fairness the Wood exploit well.
-
County get one back… Baldwin
-
Tbf from a financial & day out point of view having Notts in the division next season is miles better for everyone than BW. Did not see it coming mind!
-
Rodrigues having nightmare, missed a pen and also had 3 Good chances in open play. Get him off
-
Get out of Jail county
-
Kiddie through 4-1
-
Kiddie through 4-1
We don’t want them coming up. We don’t do that well at Kiddy

They'll probably be playing at Chester next Sunday. Might go to that one if I can get a ticket. Should be a cracker (if they can beat Brackley later on 😉)
-
Notts County score their third in the 120th minute 🤯
-
Stalebuns beat Dartford on penalties! 😉
PS. That's three out of three for me up to now.

Justice done, and what a game that would’ve been to watch.
-
I watched the Notts county game today and although Langstaff was top scorer, In my mind Paul Mullin at Wrexham is the better all round player of the two.
-
Bit sorry for Dartford on pens and I know a Darts fan but I’m fine with St Albans or Worthing as decent days out. Not too fussed about Oxford. Good to see Kiddy beat Kings Lynn and hope Chester do Brackley. Happy with either from the north, no grudges against Kiddy really.
-
Huge relief that Lynn are out.
Come on Notts, you deserve that promotion.

Doesn't look like being Worthing. Oxford City two goals to the good atm.
Having said that though, so were borehamwood! 😊
-
Chester a goal down with 5 min to go. My local game prospects are waning.
-
Chester out. Good news for us
-
I tend to agree. Also Oxford by far the best for us from the NLS with so many Southern teams in the league (and a new club for us).
-
Cynically, one of the bottom four places booked if Brackley come up but can't really see them turning Kidderminster over and they'll be fairly successful in the NL with their crowds and backing.
I'd also like to think St Albans or Oxford will struggle too.

We need some signings or we will be down there with them.
-
Don't worry Ray. Parky's no doubt working on the five signings we all know we need! 😉

In terms of competing for players yes
-
Also, Chester pitch invasion at the end. In some ways I'm glad they haven't come up, especially while we appear unable to steward these matches properly. A decent club spoilt by a minority.

Not a new club. I saw us there in NLN one season. Tiny club but decent club house bar if I remember. Very local for me. Hoping they make it. They had a mad story a few years back about an American investor who was selling naming rights to stands for more than they cost to build to fellow Americans on the back of the Oxford name and trying to get a tie up to bolster his American college or something. All very odd.
-
I remember all that with Oxford City as well, they were labelled as the next money club for a while.
I think the ground is out in the suburbs of Oxford and a bit of a pain to get to.

Trying to copy and paste the link but it sounds like some Chester fans didnt take losing too well

Yeah, it was a midweeker at the end of the season about 10 years ago in glorious weather & I recall you could drink by the pitch & they had beer garden tables behind one goal. It never struck me Oxford City could seriously become a Conference National side & given they average about 400 assume someone must be chucking in some decent dosh. The ground is not quite as far out of the city centre as United but it’s nowhere near either. Both a good cab ride from Oxford Station.
If them & Brackley do it that would be amusing & assume they’d both need to do some pretty sharp work on their grounds. Brackleys capacity about 3.5k I think, Oxfords I suspect is even less.

Just read the comments on deva-chat. Sound like they were trashing coaches and fighting away fans.
Apparently the police didn’t do much. (Probably sat in there vans getting fat on burgers)). They are a complete waste of time nowadays. As is the standard of stewarding at our level of football.
Glad Chester are staying where they belong.
-
Agreed.

Yes it's all kicking off on devachat!
They're not too pleased in the Greyhound in Saughall either. Someone and his wife are in there wearing Alty shirts!

Chester fans are probably at your gaff setting fire to it.

Don't think so. Our two Staffordshire bull terriers Jackie and Kingie can look after Saughall Towers pretty well. 😉

Good to see a well thought out response.

Looks like there was a similar situation to what we had at York in the FAT too, with a section of the ground being over capacity, and that it was lucky nobody was injured. I say this needs sorting out now, rather than ignoring the warning signs and hoping that nobody is killed. This was also a cause of the Hillsborough tragedy. People should be safe at football grounds, whatever it tskes. And by the way that applies to us too. Maybe the club should officially respond to Hashtag's complaint (after the Notts gsme). Get it sorted, or some people simply won't go any more.
