I'm hearing that Danny Edwards (one of the transfer listed Port Vale FC players) is to join Altincham on a month's loan. He is 18 years of age.
Perhaps there will be confirmation in due course one way or another?

Confirmed - http://www.port-vale.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10381~1782718,00.html

Reported on One Vale Fan forum that he is coming to Altrincham.

Well done management team, lets hope he's another Ryan Shotton.

According to his player profile on the Vale website, he's actually a striker, but can play in midfield or defence as well. Came through their Youth team. Not a big lad, but if he IS a genuine old fashioned utility player he could be EXACTLY what we need right now !

Frankly, I find his expression of admiration for Boyz II Men extremely worrying.....but at least he is aware that Cyprus is hot:

The ex-manager thinks he is best in midfield:
"Danny Edwards has played in one or two positions and sometimes that goes against him.
"I think he is best in central midfield in that holding role. He will get on the ball, he's not fazed about anything and he can pass the ball."

I doubt whether he will appear at any of the fans forums myself, but good luck to the lad.
