Altrincham FC First Team / Directions to Dagenham...
« on: April 10, 2007, 02:59:44 PM »
Going to make my first trip to Dagenham on Saturday. Just wondering which is the best way to go. I can get to the M25 but, having looked at a couple of map sites, they're sending me 2 or 3 different ways. Would it be quicker to get off at J30 of the M25 and go from there, or should I get off earlier and go through London?

Many thanks in advance :)

Overall it was a poor performance. Yes we had a few good chances in the 2nd half but our general play (especially the defence) was weak.

I'm starting to get nervous again  :-\

It was more of a 7-3 formation with no midfield ;)

I never said he was right. I couldn't see it clear enough to say.

The ref didn't cost us, the lack of any sort of midfield lost it for us (and don't get me started on Aspinall).

We didn't push on after we scored and half the team went missing in the 2nd half. When we did get the ball up to the front players, they were on their own as everyone else seemed reluctant to get over the half way line.

The front players need support. Chalmers, despite his goal, didn't play well at all, Andy Scott tried to intercept but his distribution was poor, Bushell gets a lot of the ball but his passes were all over the place or he kept getting caught in possesion. Lawton can't do everything on his own, but he didn't seem to want to get forward either.

Compared to all the chances Grays and Stafford had against us, Exeter offered very little. We just didn't get a grip of the game.

So disappointing.

We need to generate some publicity - get on to Radio 5, the newspapers etc. Keep badgering them until they pick the story up - which they will if enough people complain.

What about contacting the guy on Radio 5 that questionned Moules on the radio last year - he seemed in support of us and was pretty scathing about the deduction.

Welcome :)

Feel free to try and get friends and family to come along as well :)

I think it's a fix!

I never win anything :'(

I'm expecting an awful game. It's like whenever we play Tamworth you know it's going to be a crap game. I think us and Stafford will cancel each other out, so it'll be long balls all over the place with little or no goal attempts.

we can start to enjoy the football again

What is this 'enjoy'? Does not compute.

As Alty fans we are not supposed to enjoy football, it should be full of worry and grief ;)  :D

Out of the two to choose from I'd pick Munroe, but for me the most improved player, and possibly my player of the season so far, is Peyton. Since Christmas he has improved massively defensively whilst still willing to get forward and get crosses in :)

saw some guy in the amc servin drinks n stuff that lukked the spit of karl munroe. his name badge said marcus tho... ??? ??? i think hes doin a tax dodge :D

WTF???  ???

Yes Jimmy, thats my point. I have a slight fondness for Alty and i admire your achievements as a well run part-time side in a somewhat 'professional' division, where you have to compete against the so called bigger clubs.... but it irks me slightly as some of your fans have an obsession with the full time/part time status thing. But you know that anyway from my postings about it before on confguide! Its great that you do so well against full time teams, honestly, it is. But to pull quotes from a fans match report and claim that him putting your goal as fortunate is all down to a clubs status and say 'these full timers simply do not like losing' (do part time sides enjoy losing then!?) is a bit too much.

The obsession with our part time status irks some Alty fans too, so you're not alone!  :D
