Another vacancy filled: Bill and Ben (ex Chester) have taken over at Spennymoor.
They'll do ok at a club with plenty of lolly.
They've already bought the league once with Salford.

It's a bit of a trek from Ramsbottom

I don't see why they would do any better at Spenny tbh, how anyone still rates these two I haven't the foggiest.

See Chester have appointed Steve Watson (ex York City) as their new manager.
If he couldn't do it at York with a full time budget, I think he'll have his hands full with Chester.

York were unstable off the pitch, fans divided in how much to loathe the chairman. Chester are more settled. He'll do ok there.

Perhaps they thought they were based in Heaton Moor?

As in :

I'll have Heaton Moor over the next 3 days than I normally do in a week.

Best wishes to everyone on here for the festive season.

Spotted on the Chester fc forum

"Imagine being a Spennymoor fan who wanted Watson and you end up with Twitters finest instead. You would be devastated."

Made me laugh out loud

I don't know what anyone sees in them.

Took a couple of attempts to get a heavily bankrolled Salford side up, and then fluffed their lines with a great Chester squad who were dead easy to set up against.

Won't end well with Spenny.

I must say I'm a bit surprised by it. I think they're a bit lucky to get a chance at a bigger club after the Chester "City" debacle! :)

For Heaven's sake don't go on Chester's forum suggesting Spennymoor are a bigger club.....but then again 🤣

I don't have an axe to grind. Allbeit Chester went bust but they have been where we are yet to tread.

I see he's appointed Steve McNulty as his assistant - on the face of it, looks quite a shrewd move.
