Exploiting the soft underbelly......

From afar it appears that when things are going well, the team play some quick paced well executed interchanges, knock in a goal or two and snuff out the opposition. When things start to go off plan, the players (not all ) seem to lack the appetite to dig in and graft out a battle. Flair players are one thing, even playing surfaces with lush grass but come the colder times the heart seems to go a little, too many players start to blame each other publicly, the team spirit starts to crack and the weaknesses are exposed. It's that time when the opposition senses this, and takes advantage. A few games creep by and the rot sets in and unfortunately throwing away points becomes an habit.

The players need to shake off the malaise, grow some and battle on. Once the manager picks the team everyone involved should be happy that they are representing the club and fight tooth and nail. If they look at themselves at the end of 90 and can say they've done their best then that's a positive, the crowd won't be on their case and they more than likely will have done enough to gain all the points on offer.

If not then they are letting themselves and the paying supporters down. Players take a look at yourselves and ask the question!
