Make sure you all bring your flags, scarves, balloons and confetti to Kendal next week. If you have flags from the playoff final bring them along and try to make the best atmosphere possible - we need to get behind our lads and get their players rattled from the start. This game is massive and we must ensure we do our part to help progress to that elusive first round proper.
-
does anyone have a picture of there ground?
-
Have you any idea on how many fans will be travelling next Saturday. A couple of 100 would make a good FA CUP atmospher.
-
Photos as requested:
Is it just me or is their pitch on the world's biggest slope?

much abliged alty365
so i assume we will be stood in the area shown in the second picture?
-
It looks like a picturesque spennymoor, with a touch of the colwyn bay low stands thrown in for good measure.
Not what you want week in, week out but always a great FA cup away trip.
Gutted I wont be there! I love the cup
-
There is a slight slope at Parkside Road, but nothing too massive.
-
Looks like a nice picturesque ground - what I would call a "proper" non-league ground. It's certainly full of character and I really hope I can be there to sample it first hand.
-
I've played at Kendal a few times and have to say I've loved it every time I've been there. Great little ground, good atmosphere. Fantastic pitch to play on as well, slope not too much of a problem.
-
Looks like a lovely little non-league ground, love the look of that one row of seats behind the goal...I'll do all I can to bring balloons shirts and scarfs to the match...and penfold, I believe we could take as many as 350 fans, my guess 300.
-
I will heading down next Saturday. Reckon we will be allowed under cover should it **** down?

I thought they called it the Lakeland Radio Stadium or something now?
-
am i right in thinking that they used to be Netherfield?
-
I heard they changed their name cos no-one knew where Netherfield is. The ground is opposite the very picturesque Netherfield cricket club with Kendal cricket club at the other end of the town.
-
in which case it was one of the first aways i ever did circa '76
there were sheep in the adjoining field behind one goal and the ball kept going out of the ground
-
There are a few more buildings & housing around the ground now, but it is still at the edge of town and quite rural
-
I remember a game at Netherfield, midweek match losing 2-0 with a minute to go and we drew 2-2.
-
bet it will ether be pissing it down or freezing :D
-
I think the Netherfield name was somehow linked with the then works team of K shoes?
-
Yes..we were Netherfield FC...and YES we were named after K shoes factory in 1920....YES the sheep are'nt there anymore...YES there are plenty of new buildings around the grond...YES there is a slight slope on the pitch...NO it is never cold in Kendal.
Enjoy the day...and don't sulk too much if it dosen't go your way ;D

Do your players pay subs?
-
Any more info on this place? Have they got a bar? If not are there any pubs nearby? Will there be a programme? Is there a car park?
-
Yes, there is a large club and bar attached to the ground so you will be OK for food and drink. Not much under cover but the weather will be fine and sunny as usual. Don't believe there will be any segregation so we will all be able to swop ends half way through in time honoured non-league tradition. Do our players pay subs - are you taking the mick? Yes, there will be a programme - there is one for every game. Ground does have a slight slope - however, have you ever been to Colne, that is a slope!
-
have you ever been to Colne,
