Another 100% pro with a great work ethic. His comeback from that awful injury (I was stood right in line with him when he went down and could only imagine the pain) was an object lesson to players at any level that they should never give up the fight to play this wonderful game of ours to the best of our ability.

I think Buzz would make a great coach.....hope it's in his mind to go down that road.

On his day, and even with a knee that only let him bend his leg half of what it should, he was one of the best left backs in non-league. His partnership on the wing with Nicky Clee was an absolute joy to behold and created so many chances for us. He absolutely ran himself into the ground for this club, in both stints with us.

As a bloke he is second to none. After the Brackley disappointment last year he apologised personally to me and said that he would do everything he could to make sure we bettered it and the fans went home smiling this year. Despite not playing as much this year his performances have been fantastic, and I really think he's unfortunate to have missed out later in the season.

All the very best Matty, get your knee fixed up and get back to playing again. You'll be appreciated wherever you go.
