Rumour in the Midlands (on radio and TV news) when they clinched promotion was that they were going to share with their freinds at Rushden if needs be.

They do have until 31st of march to get the ground to grade a! We had to put a temporary stand behind one goal to meet ground requirements for this league. But there is a rumour concerning there ground because they only have a two year lease on it and may not be allowed into the bsp.

According to this they will:

Ladak - We are fine
by Official KTFC on Sun Apr 27, 2008 11:02 am

Imraan Ladak has confirmed that Kettering satisfy the criteria for promotion into the Conference Premier.

"There is a story in todays Non League Daily that suggests we are concerned that we are one the clubs affected by a letter that will be sent to Conference North, South and Premier clubs on Monday.

I received a call about this on Friday evening and said that over the last couple of months we had heard something like this was going to happen and that one or two clubs thought they would stay up in the Premier at someone elses expense.

I also stated that we are entirely satisfied that we have nothing to worry about as we have had confirmation from the FA and Conference Board (past and present) that we have nothing to worry about and have spent seven figures over the last five years to get our ground up to scratch and put together a team to get promoted on this basis.

If a letter does get sent on monday, I empathise with whoever it affects but we have nothing to fear.

We believe our relations with the Conference are excellent at this time and if it affected us, we would have known before the end of the season.

I can't make it any clearer than put on record that we have a letter from the FA stating that we have satisfied the grading for promotion to the Conference Premier".

didn't we have a letter from the fa saying we had nothing to fear?

I like the4 seven figure sum spent in the last 5 years bit....
£5 on paint
£10 on posters
£35 repair to turnstile
£20 new lock for the drinks cabinet after gazza left.
there you go....7 figures...

I bet Rockingham Rd looks as decaying as ever.

Isn't the problem not that kettering have an A grade but a question of tenure??????

Still hope kettering do get their promotion....big club, nice big ground for non league standards....think the owner has ideas above their station but that's a personal view.
