not as simple at that.

From what ive watched/read i believe its your income over three years, and inc sponsorship - what stops an owner sponsoring a mainstand for 6 million - the money he would have spent anyway.....

I think the rule should be simple. like on a morgage youre suposidely only allowed to borrow X times youre income - my belief is that you should only be allowed to x % of total revenue in debt - every pound over that sactions should come in...

It will certainly lead to some very "creative accounting", that's for sure!

As someone has already said........those mystery backers who will fail the FA 'Fit and Proper' test, will just sponsor a team shirt for £2M a season....rules defeated and job done.

As far as I know only one person has failed the 'fit and proper' test and that is Stephen Vaughan. He had to bankrupt 2 football clubs to fail that test.

Maybe so, but that is because Mr Vaughan actually made it public that he owned the clubs in the first place !....mystery backers are just that - a mystery

fantastic until u realise chairman put money in just to get round it. it should be half what you generate commercially and the figure the board puts in should be discounted
