This. It'd make pre-season competitive and interesting, without being absolutely crucial.

It might also boost crowds from sub-100 Tuesday night affairs to something around the 4/500 mark on Saturday in late Summer.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a pointless game as all pre season games are geared up to getting the squad fit and ready for the season and Macc will provide a decent test. It's no different to any other pre season game though and the attendance will be less than 500 with no atmosphere.

Indeed Joe, thats what I meant just put it wrong.

Will be a good workout but zero atmospshere.
