Oh and I once picked up Andrew Shaw and took him back to Bowdon....he was completely sober and we had a very coherent chat about Alty.

On 21st february 1994  Steve Raymond (goal scorer v macc) opened the door to my wife at Trafford General, I'd hoped it was an omen but allas my wife gave birth later that day to a daughter, although she is Alty through and through. :)

What did want your wife to give birth to an Omen for? The last one I saw was a proper little nightmare!!

And your wife wants to change her name, Allas is crap.

I was in the Townhouse in Hale one Sunday night when the Welsh squad walked in.
Ian Rush, Dean Saunders, Mark Hughes and Clayton Blackmore I can remember.I was then joined at the urinals by Sparky himself.
(any comments about hardest tackle in the league etc appreciated!)

That could be the start of a whole new thread ..

WHO FAMOUS HAVE YOU STOOD NEXT TO IN THE GENTS ?

My two claims to fame on that front would be Roy Wood of Wizzard fame and Mike Harding (that's showing my age !)

I saw Morrissey in an Altrincham supermarket last week.

On spotting him approaching, I swiftly covered up the pork chops in the trolley, so as not to upset him....
