I think Ashton's home form will be hugely important as it's not an easy place to go. I can see them having a strong start but fading away as the season progresses.

485 is about right for a pre season game really. It's also not much less than some of our midweek league attendances last season.

I was assuming that the league season started on 4th August with our last friendly match taking place on 28th July? Unless we're going to announce another friendly game at some point?

The Peter Swales Shield was discontinued a few years ago.

I cannot begin to estimate the number of hours John and Dana have spent researching and publishing the comprehensive news output on the site over those 18 years. It really has been a magnificent effort, to say the very least.

Always hated it when there was a planned break in the updates when the Laidlars took a well deserved holiday as the news updates are so much a part of the daily "routine"!

Thank you John and Dana for your many years of dedication!
