Title: Vics put 8 up for loan or transfer
Post by: altyf on December 19, 2008, 03:10:16 PM: To ease their financial crisis Northwich Vics have made eight contracted players available for loan or transfer. They are Burns, Flynn, Jones, Mullen, Stamp, Steele, Tynan and Welch.

"An open and frank exchange of views took place and Jim Rushe outlined his plans for the club, talked frankly about the financial position and engaged in positive discussions regarding fund raising. A full report of the meeting will be posted on the club's web site in due course... These are some of the main points. £7K raised by the end of the meeting. Support by the way of donations is still urgently needed... A fund raising group was formed... The meeting felt that Vics should continue to operate at the present level but that the wage bill should be reduced and brought under control. JR totally agreed and stated that he is close (perhaps 90%) to finalising a deal to buy the VS. Buying the stadium is in his view critical if the club is to prosper long term. The consensus of the meeting agreed with that view".
