Made of sterner stuff on the courts at Heyes Grove this morning - we're playing tennis!!   what's the matter with them, the weather adds to the fun, it's one of the reasons for watching non- league on the first place

Seems to me that there is little point in blaming the ground conditions. Admittedly, they were poor, but claiming that they were unplayable is not correct.  The fact that Droylsden seemed to be able to find their men while we gave away possession easily, suggests that they adapted better and found a way of playing that worked.  What is most disappointing is that we seemed to be able to offer no alternative to the system that was clearly not working in the first place.  Face facts, we were beaten by a better team than us today......and not a pub team at that ( a chant that is as embarrassing as it arrogant FFS).

I don't think that the ref got too much wrong today, at least nothing that mattered as far as tHe outcome was concerned.  If anything, therer were a couple of Alty players who were fortunate not to be booked.  Clee, in particular, has made a habit of back-chat to the opposition payers and/ off ref.  I would mind less if we were winning more games.  I know he's good, but I wish he would, let his ability do he talking and leave it at that.

Thanks for the information.  I did drop in the bar at HT but is was pretty congested with people checking on scores.  I'll keep my eye on ebay and maybe relist my request on here now an again.  I'd be grateful for any other suggestions.
