It is my opinion that we never properly replaced Eddie Hussin since our promotion season. The role that he played in that team's success can never be overstated and despite the fact that we've brought in other players like Bushell and Tinson as captains, neither (in my opinion) have filled the void left by Hussin's injury and subsequent departure. Admittedly, players like Hussin are not in abundance but there is no doubt in my mind that he would not have stood for below par performances or a lack of heart from any individual. That is what other teams in this division seem to have (eg. Stride at Burton) which is worth as much as any flair player you could ever wish for.

We need a leader on the pitch!

Tinno is a good leader, strong and vocal at the back, i think the players respect him.

two goals from set pieces really sums up his importance in organising the defence and having one big tank head.

As for the arm band i am not sure. but there didnt seem to be any captain material to choose from.

It's not just Eddie. There were a few players from our days in Conference North, who led from the front and who are no longer at the club. Questions were raised about whether these players had the fitness or ability to play in the National League. However, right now, I'd swap some of those we've got for Rod, Eddie or Mad Dog, because at least they seemed to want to play for Alty.
