Brilliant news - hopefully Alex Newby can follow suit.

It would be amazing for January to be about further contract extensions and not desperately needing reinforcements - or worse still, losing players we currently have.

That feels pretty unfair on Ollie. While I'm delighted by Ethan's signing, Ollie was (and may yet be) a great servant of the club.

He has turned defeats into wins already. The great Brian Clough when building his Euro winning Forest side said you must start with the best keeper....so he got Shilton...rest of team were hasbeens turned into world beaters like Kenny Burns and Larry Lloyd or up and coming youngsters turned superstars like Viv Anderson or Martin O'Neil

Great signing to get Ethan....but let's not be disrespectful to Ollie Bryne...not the same level ok keeper in my view...but a young player doing his best and his time will come..albeit maybe not at Alty

If he returns a better keeper and wants to stay and compete for the shirt that's fine . Better to have two good keepers like Man U had with De Gea and Henderson than none like they have now !
