Has not been offered a new deal at Fleetwood.
Please, please have the funds in our budget to sign him.
I know we've not got a manager but he's bloody ace.

I'd build a team round him personally. His passion would rub off on anyone surely.
Doubt we could afford him and doubt he'd come either but it would be fantastic if he did

very good midfielder strong in the tackle, pace to burn, energy like a duracell bunny.i would snap him up.

Agree with the above posts, if we have it within the budget sign him up. It always seemed as though he enjoyed his time here, so you never know
-
If we could get him he would be the closest thing we'd get to a modern Eddie Hussin in that league....he would drive us on and not allow slacking especially if he could show people who is boss from the start.

Eddie hussin was good but connors is a lot better imo
-
priority is to get a manager in to be honest.

What about Steve Connors as player-manager? :-\
-
Rumours on conference forum he might be joining barrow.
rumours mind.

too young

He'll do his best to stay full time I am sure...so Barrow would make sense.

I don't have anything to back this up with, but is there any corrolation between signing a higher BSP quality player and overspending on the wage budget? Without trying to sound like its his fault, was he a contributing factor to our overspending?

Inevitably if you bring full-time players in on loan your wage costs rise, though it probably can be a matter for negotiation between the parties as to how much of the full-timer's wage the loaning club pays; and the number of loan players brought in this past season from both Football League and BSBP full-time clubs clearly could not be budgeted for. No one player should be cited as contributing to oberspending but it is surely true to say that the combination of circumstances led to the overspend. Connors may well wish to stay full-time which would put him outside our perameters; I too can well imagine him at the end of the longest cul-de-sac in the world (the A590).
